ELEIA Park Rules (In-Season & Off-Season) 1. Conduct that would cause a reasonable person to fear for their health, safety or welfare, or conduct that substantially interferes with the regular administration of the park is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, foul language, aggressive behavior, theft, disregard for ELEIA Park Rules, damage or destruction to ELEIA property or disregard for the safety of members, guests or staff. a. Any offense may result in immediate removal from the park, temporary loss of membership card for a period of time determined by the board and/or appearance before the board. b. Second offense - member must appear before the board before being allowed to re-enter the park. Disciplinary action may include revocation of park membership and loss of Member-In-Good-Standing status. i. A Member-In-Good-Standing is defined as a member having no unresolved violations of the rules. ii. Member-In-Good-Standing status is lost after written notification of infraction or balance due without satisfactory resolution. c. Member cards, keys, vehicle and watercraft stickers and all guest passes remain the property of ELEIA. Said property must be surrendered upon request by the Business Manager or ELEIA Board of Directors. 2. NO alcoholic beverages, glass containers, firearms or illegal drugs are allowed on park property. 3. All members must present a valid membership card upon entering the park. Each guest must present a valid pass and any required fees upon entering the park unless the host member has made prior arrangements with park management. During the Off Season: Entry to the park property is ONLY granted to members that possess a valid key and membership card. Winter key opens drive gate only Nov 1 – Mar 30. Walk-in gates are opened with summer key. Guests are allowed only when accompanied by a member with a valid member ID. 4. Members may not bring non-member lot owners, residents, or renters on park property. These individuals do not qualify as permitted guests. 5. Members may be held accountable for the actions and behavior of their guest(s). It is the member’s responsibility to instruct their guests concerning all ELEIA Rules and Policies. 6. All vehicles entering the park must have a valid park vehicle sticker. a. Member vehicle sticker must be permanently attached to lower left-hand corner of the front window. b. Stickers shall be sold only to members for use on their own vehicles. 7. Motorized vehicles shall operate only on park roads and must be left in designated parking areas when not in use. Access to the lake/ice is only permitted via the main driveway & boat launch ramp. During the Off Season: a. Snowmobiles may enter the park only on trailers to prevent damage to the asphalt. b. Any vehicle, snowmobile, ATV, etc. found on the sand, grass, pavilion, hills or in the woods will be immediately removed from the park. c. Fishing shanties: i. May be installed once the lake has frozen and must be removed when the ice thaws. ii. May be stored on shore for a reasonable amount of time during uncertain ice conditions. iii. Shanties on shore cannot block vehicle or boat launch traffic. 8. No Pets Allowed in the park Memorial Day through Labor Day, unless going directly to a watercraft. All pets must be on a leash, carried by its owner, or in a vehicle from the gate entrance to the watercraft. During the Off Season: Members are permitted to bring licensed pets into the park. All pets must be on a leash and under full control of the pet owner. You are required to pick up after your pet.
9. ELEIA is not responsible for any personal property lost or damaged on park property or in the water. 10. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person 14 years of age or older. 11. Unauthorized fireworks are not allowed on park property or in the water. 12. Do not feed or harass the park wildlife. Waterfowl contaminate the beach area and produce swimmers itch. 13. Swimmers must obey all posted rules and verbal commands from ELEIA Staff. 14. Watercraft are not allowed in the swimming area. 15. Anyone requiring the aid of a flotation device is not allowed beyond the roped swim area. 16. Swimming is at your own risk. No swimming after dark. 17. All watercraft operators must obey all ELEIA Mooring rules. Any member found launching an unauthorized watercraft may have their membership revoked notwithstanding Section 1. 18. Swimwear must be appropriate and comply with State of Michigan and Oakland County ordinances. 19. All guest watercraft must be removed daily unless prior authorization is provided. 20. Unauthorized entry into the park at any time is prohibited. a. Park Hours are 10 AM - 10 PM, Memorial Weekend through Labor Day, weather permitting. b. Boaters only from 10 PM – 1 AM. c. Absolutely no admittance from 1 AM - 4 AM. During the Off Season: Absolutely no admittance is allowed from dusk to dawn unless the member is using the park for access to the lake or the ice. 21. All deliveries and service calls must be prearranged with the manager on duty. 22. Unauthorized fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on park property. (Authorization can be obtained from management personnel during Office Hours, via email or telephone) 23. Unauthorized trailer(s), vehicles or any other member material may not be left overnight on park property. (Authorization can be obtained from management personnel during Office Hours, via email or telephone) 24. All Members & all guests must obey all posted signs, including those referring to watercraft access areas. 25. Members unlocking any gate are required to ensure the gate is securely locked after entering or exiting. Failure to follow this procedure may result in loss of key privileges & access to the park during non-operating hours. 26. No dumping allowed. This includes household or yard waste deposited into any receptacle, dumpster, or onto ELEIA property. No dumping areas include easements between roads and fence lines as well as public, undeveloped, and wilderness areas. 27. All Park and Mooring Rules are governed by the Association Bylaws and its’ integrations. 28. Violation of any ELEIA Park or Mooring rules may result in the actions defined in these rules. Definitions: Seasonal Operation is defined as: Saturday of Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Off-Season Operation is defined as: Labor Day to the Friday before Memorial Weekend Board Approved ~ February 2022 |
